Held in Suspension reflects on healing within institutional settings, where the body is held, protected and supported, yet can also become fragile through prolonged dependence.

Suspended between tension and collapse, transparent 3D-printed PETG fragments and felt form a porous membrane that recalls both wounded tissue and mycelial networks. As the structure gradually sags beneath its own weight, it gestures towards atrophy, not simply as physical decline, but as a consequence of prolonged care, immobility and dependence.

The work considers healing as an ongoing negotiation between care, vulnerability and the body’s changing capacities.
