Creature #1 explores healing through the ambivalence of care. Instead of a stable state of repair, healing is imagined as a porous process in which care sustains as much as it restrains.

Clinging to the body, the fibres become sticky, neither entirely protective nor entirely oppressive. The work dwells in the tension between support and entrapment, suggesting that care can nurture, constrain, and transform simultaneously.

Thinking with María Puig de la Bellacasa’s notion of the ambivalence of care, Sara Ahmed’s concept of “sticky” affect, and mycelial networks as a relational model for interdependence, attachment, and continual becoming.
